R. Scott Blackburn is a member of the Tax and Estate Planning Department at Coolidge Wall. He counsels clients in planning for the management and disposition of property during lifetime, at death and after death. His experience planning and managing the estates of business owners and executives has afforded him the opportunity to understand and evaluate some of the most sophisticated estate planning tools available to achieve client objectives. Scott also assists the owners of closely held business with succession planning and ownership transfers. He is a member of the Dayton Planned Giving Group as well as the Dayton & the Miami Valley Trust & Estate Planning Groups.

Scott was once again selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2018 in the field of Trusts and Estates. He has been listed in Best Lawyers since 1995. Also, he was named an Ohio Super Lawyer (2004-2008) by Law & Politics magazine.
