Briana is an associate in Coolidge Wall’s Litigation and Bankruptcy Departments. With a background in bankruptcy law, Briana primarily focuses her practice on creditor rights, insolvency, and commercial litigation. Drawing from her diverse background, Briana brings an analytical methodology to her practice, ensuring that her clients are well-informed and confident. Prior to joining Coolidge Wall, Briana worked as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Guy R. Humphrey in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Ohio. She also was an attorney at the law firm of Rion, Rion & Rion in Dayton, and an associate at Jackson Kelly, in Charleston, West Virginia.
Briana earned her Juris Doctorate at West Virginia University College of Law in Morgantown, West Virginia, simultaneously earning her Masters in Business Administration from the West Virginia University John Chambers College of Business and Economics. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology at Bethany College in Bethany, West Virginia.
While in law school, Briana held several leadership positions, including president of the Health Law Society, senior member of the editorial board of the Family Law Quarterly through the American Bar Association, and Clerk for the Willey Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta, an international law fraternity. In addition, she was treasurer of Moot Court, where she and her team competed and won best oral presentation at the 2019 National Health Law Transactional Moot Court Competition. Briana also received the CALI award for both Professional Responsibility and Appellate Advocacy.
In college, Briana was a member of Psi Chi Society, the national psychology honor society; president of the Bethany College Panhellenic Conference, the governing organization for sororities on campus; Director of Risk Reduction and Social Activities and Director of Philanthropy for Zeta Tau Alpha; and was a member of the Equestrian Team.
